I can't believe a video from Elon gets immediately millions of views but this great video from @shivon has only 700 views so far. I really like her energy and enthusiasm describing #neuralink A real force of nature #womenintech thx @Gianluc59668963 youtube.com/watch?v=CkUcCc

Replying to and
AFAIK, *all* companies working on penetrating thin electrodes in cortex are still struggling to get a decent device lifetime, and unlike in semiconductor industry you cannot accelerate effective lifetime testing by heating a device or using higher voltages/currents; #FDA stuff

It will be interesting to see how the effective bandwidth of a Neuralink visual cortical prosthesis compares to that of The vOICe

Currently available evidence suggests that functional vision offered by the Orion I visual cortical prosthesis system is significantly outperformed by The vOICe vision glasses, at low cost and w/o surgery twitter.com/seeingwithsoun Independent benchmarking is welcome #AAO2019
