Grad school milestone - submitted a first-author journal paper with & posted it as a preprint. We combine neuroimaging and aphasia studies to investigate the relationship between language & visual semantics. Time to celebrate! (until the reviews/rejection, that is)

What a cool interactive map! Type in an English word and the website translates into all European languages. Hours of fun. It knows swear words too - just sayin'... Source:

One of the PhD aspects I'm most grateful for is the amazing feedback I get from my advisors: specific, constructive, and accompanied by a ton of positive reinforcement. Such an attitude helps me grow as a scientist without getting disillusioned about the entire PhD process.

My family (N=6) discussed this last year and discovered that we have different spatial representations of months of the year/days of the week. My year is a counterclockwise ellipse (winter on top). What's yours?

Are and visual narratives universally transparent to comprehend? My new paper reviews an extensive literature showing visual narratives require a fluency to comprehend: "Visual narrative comprehension: Universal or not?"

Master’s thesis work finally posted! We asked how weightlessness affects higher-level spatial abilities like perspective-taking. Grateful to the 🇫🇷 space agency and my former PI, Claudine Mélan in Toulouse, for all the funding, support and fun!

Another highlight - got a book signed by Eric Kandel! Read two of his other books in their Russian translation (yay, Russian neuroscience fans exist too).
