Heh, someone reported a "privacy complaint" against the proof-of-concept video I shot in my living room of my wireless wiegand skimmer. Maybe they, too, use Facility=123 CardId=45678 and were mad that I exposed their credentials?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoS1nIqrdJs …

Whoa,
@YouTube terminated my account outright. The account hosted vids of me picking my own locks (a format now popular via@thelocklab@LockPickingLwyr et al) & vids demonstrating my security research. Among them my Android lockscreen bypass as featured on@WIRED, w/ 1mil views.pic.twitter.com/mnBGAnCRFE

The two flagged videos that initiated the investigation show tools I built to demonstrate weaknesses in many card-access systems. I was asked by the FBI community to give a public talk on this work and these devices at my local InfraGard meeting. SECURITY RESEARCH IS NOT A CRIME.

.
@YouTube has denied my appeal and upheld the suspension, providing no further details. I still don't know which community guideline I'm accused of violating nor on which if any additional video(s) the decision was based. This is not right. What recourse do I have?@TeamYouTubepic.twitter.com/uMaYkGLpnS

These repeating incidents with no due process or recourse make me fear for our children’s ability to express their thoughts and expressions in a digital future. Those less fortunate who can’t rally a crowd due to obscurity will be trampled.
