Laughable. You’re the ultimate gaslighter! 20 mph limits when strung out drug addicts are running innocent pedestrians over. No right turns on red but addicts are passed out in the street from fentanyl. Overpriced loos no one uses yet our alley is a toilet & unsafe injection site

The police do not work for me, i cant decide what they do or how they're deployed, I do not determine who is arrested or how they are prosecuted. Drug laws and most criminal laws are state laws.

@MattHaneySF you could publicly call on@chesaboudin to prosecute drug dealers & put them in jail to protect your constituents. We should get addicts all the help they need, but we should have zero tolerance for fentanyl street dealing. Both sides of the equation are needed.2 replies 0 retweets 14 likes -

It's not that we are not prosecuting drug sales cases, they are more than a quarter of our das office, it's that prohibition has always been counterproductive more enforcement leading to more usage, overdoses, lawlessness and violence.https://twitter.com/chesaboudin/status/1285817800150282241?t=-5MPH5V34hZVRvzbiaWSSg&s=19 …

Chesa Boudin 博徹思Verified account @chesaboudinReplying to @awokeocracyAbout 25% of my general felony team caseload is drug sales. It's a huge distraction from violent crime. Come watch court any day of the week and you'll see felony drug sales cases being prosecuted. Don't blame me because the war on drugs has been a total failure since inception.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Why does SF have the country's largest open air drug market in the TL? It's due to lack of enforcement against drug dealing. The brazenness of dealers isn't tolerated by political leaders in other major US cities.

The tenderloin has been a open air drug market for decades, we have always conducted some enforcement and it has always been counterproductive. Part of a nationwide wave of synthetic opiate overdoses, more enforcement reliably leads to more violence, overdoses, addiction.pic.twitter.com/xE1A1aLxGA

@beyondchron has worked on affordable housing in the TL for decades to support its low income residents & strongly disagrees with your take that TL drug dealing is inevitable. He's written multiple times that open air drug dealing is the worst it's ever been in the TL1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

@Twolfrecovery , So given 40 years of enforcement, a massive loss of liberty in pursuit of "security" warrant-less unconstitutional searches of every american, a historic excessive police state, and mass incarceration system. Anyone safer? drugs eliminted?https://twitter.com/equalityAlec/status/1394702502122115078 …Paul added,

Its not that we haven't tried increases in enforcement, the educated sociologists have studied the issue. Our psychologists and professionally explain that increases in enforcement lead to increases in violence, usage, availability, and overdoses.https://twitter.com/julianbuchanan/status/1407510229764370434 …
