My heart is bursting. On the eve of my first child's birth, my dad - who's been in prison nearly my entire life - was granted clemency. He never intended harm, yet his crime devastated many families. My heart breaks for the families that can never get their loved ones back.

David has been in jail for more than 35 years. That’s a lot longer than most people serve for murder. So where is the privilege? I am very happy for David, his father, and his soon to be born child.

What triple murder cases are you aware of where 3 victims--including 2 cops-- were killed and the defendant only serves 35 years? In many states, killing a cop is a death penalty offense. 35 years seems like a slap on the wrist for triple murder.

Dayna, these are leftists. Leftists always align with criminals, killers, etc. They don't know any better. As long as a horrific crime didn't impact them personally they can just erase it.

If u believe the driver who didnt kill anyone deserves the same time as the murderer you don’t even believe in the existing justice system. And believing in rehabilitation vs punishment doesnt ignore victims it actually pushes people to really face and deal w the harm they caused

I believe in law and order. You are a leftist driven by emotion. You do not have to convince me you align with criminals and killers. The law clearly states if you are part of something that results in someone's death, you are responsible even if you didn't pull trigger.

Yes it means they committed a crime but typically it doesn’t equal that of murder itself

Felony murder is now widely recognized as mostly a political punishment, as a injustice and it largely no longer exists in our judicial system.
