as someone who worked retail: retail employees do not care about shoplifting. shoplift all you want. It doesn't change any of the employees days.

Covid is why our courts are not really open, and our mass incarceration system is even more epidemiologically unsafe to use than usual, leading our @SF_DPH to direct @chesaboudin to release prisoners as you have been complaining about.
