Transparent engagement with our community is essential. That's why in 2020 we launched 10 community advisory boards, launched @ChasingPodcast, started hosting monthly townhalls and weekly Facebook live discussions, and I personally attended hundreds of community events.
Violence is what it should require to receive incarceration from our society. We wasn't violent before, this was violence and now he's incarcerated. But I do wish the road infrastructure did a better job of separating this poor driver and pedestrians.

McAlister had been acting the same way all year. The difference was two people were in an unlucky place. It seems strange that consequences start only when someone gets killed. Instead of before with all the other incidents of intoxication, stolen car driving, and burglarizing.
