People are sent to prison because they are believed to be a danger to members of society.... releasing people who have not met the standards of Rehabilitation to protect them endanger society as a whole

And holding them also poses epidemiological risk to the whole, not about the health of the prisoners incarcerating them poses risks to us all!

And two innocent people are dead right now because of your position...... so unless you are willing to sacrifice innocent people your position is massively flawed

Yes there are lives saved by reducing our mass incarcerated population. As our

And this thread exists because innocent people died because of the releases So unless you are willing to say "I accept innocent people being hurt by criminals being released" then you're not being honest about your position

I understand there is risk in releasing prisoners and still think we hold too many people historic both in number and percentage. There might be a few deaths, but imprisoning people in this mass isn't safe.pic.twitter.com/1wmlW0JSxj

Again this is not about sending people to prison who should not have been sent to prison.... this is about releasing people we know pose a legitimate threat to Society for their safety. And it's easy to say I understand there's risk when it's not your family who's being killed

You seem to be so obsessed with getting people out of prison you're not bothering to ask the question of should certain people actually be in prison...... and how many innocent people are you willing to sacrifice to accomplish your goal

I am obsessed with ending mass incarceration and I am disgusted by anyone being there for any reasons short of violence. I think our overcrowded mass incarceration system is racist and fundamentally unjust.
