We just finished this interview of SF DA @chesaboudin by @hknightsf, and I have to say he seems quite reasonable, data & fact driven, & not so "soft on crime" as he's been portrayed

The issue is the moving goal post on what is acceptable. He at one point said drug sales will not be prosecuted? I'm liberal AF but see that as a big problem.

No actually, drug crime is prosecuted every day in our city. Hear our
@SFDAOffice , and@chesaboudin though the media has protrayed him as no longer prosecuting, its anything but the truth, although he disagrees with it, its 25% of the cases he prosecutes.https://twitter.com/chesaboudin/status/1285817800150282241 …Paul added,
Chesa Boudin 博徹思Verified account @chesaboudinReplying to @awokeocracyAbout 25% of my general felony team caseload is drug sales. It's a huge distraction from violent crime. Come watch court any day of the week and you'll see felony drug sales cases being prosecuted. Don't blame me because the war on drugs has been a total failure since inception.2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes

And its not the only time chesa has corrected people about it. Our @SFDAOffice for better or in my opinion worse tries these cases on a daily basis.https://twitter.com/chesaboudin/status/1279449608033316865 …
