I will add that these dealers don't use their own product. In fact, if they do, they get kicked out. So, this isn't about those who use drugs, it's about the exploitation of those that use drugs. Two completely different things.

All I know for sure is that when I was on the street, none of the dealers I personally knew were forcibly brought here. But I have heard of this happening.

I understand the socioeconomics of it. But, are those issues beyond the purview of local governance in SF? That's an issue for the Honduran government isn't it? I admit it's complicated.

I think that the only real law is local, and the feds are obviously insufficient to address the epidemic on our streets, its either our police attempt to force the culture that includes drugs to change locally or it persists. The feds have manpower only for the kingpins.
