At least now, we know it's true. A low level Meth lab was found in a room at a SIP hotel. The sheriff stopped doing safety checks on July 1. "there's a meth lab right above your room so we need you to evacuate cause it could explode at any time." https://bit.ly/39WdwON

A "low level meth lab" could mean a hot plate, a pan, and a package of Sudafed. There are no pictures or descriptions of the scene. This is intentionally worded to inflame speculation. This shoddy reporting will be used to push people out of shelter and onto the street.

It was the chemical odor that got everyone's attention. I know it's small time and maybe even a reach to call it a 'lab'. But rinsing Meth with Acetone is super dangerous and highly flammable and puts the other residents of the hotel in clear danger. It is what it is.

So, they weren't making meth there just cleaning it of impurities with acetone for their own use? This seem like a intentional politically motivated conversation. We should care a little less about the drug use and more about the people!

There are other ways this way is ineffective to the point of being counterproductive.
It incentivizes drug usage and lawlessness.
