Last night on his “town hall” @chesaboudin said that we couldn’t get drug dealers off our streets because we first had to ensure the safety of their families in Honduras. This is madness. Our city is overrun with dealers.

Actually chesa said jail is a ineffective disincentive to someone facing the murder of themselves and their families.

He did also say that, yes. However, I don't think we have the power to fix what's going on in Honduras, so simply allowing it to affect SF residents doesn't seem like the right answer either

You're right, SF cannot fix Honduras. SF can fix SF. I don't mean to sound callous, but Honduras is not our problem. Honduras is Honduras's problem. Only they can fix themselves. I am not going to wait for them to fix themselves before we are allowed to fix ourselves.

Me either, but we have to recognize the situation that we are in. Which makes incarceration an ineffective disincentive.
I like the combination of legal(or at least decriminalized) local supply, and a targeted deportation effort.
We have a @fentanyl_crisis & we must address it!
