I think that there is good evidence to show that increases in enforcement lead to more violence. And Incremental decriminalization reduces violence.

I don’t think so, I think that in particular is a vicious cycle. If people had cheap bread and games here that weren’t drugs, there would be less violence. EU has bread and game available for most. US gives more bread and better games, but only to some.

And yeah, being elite in the US. I just remembered those two kids from Marin that killed a cop in Rome. Most non American kids would enjoy the architecture and the arts. These two landed and went straight to score coke. The US is too rich, and too shallow.

My point with this is that bread and games can be “repurposed”. Sure when I went to Amsterdam at 16 I smoked weed, but I also went to Van Gogh and remrandts museums, Anne frank house etc
