I am happy and proud of @chesaboudin 's existing accomplishments and hope he has a long term to continue to enlighten our city.

@chesaboudin 's enlightened use of mass incarceration does feel like magic after decades of a encroaching police state. I know hes just restoring something I already had but it feels so good.pic.twitter.com/y5ykl7SImP0 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

When it costs 85000+ $ /yr to incarcerate them. Feeding them, clothing them, and housing them become the responsibility of the state. Removed from society they are not, especially in this moment of pandemic.

While that might be prison we would all like to imagine we have, What we actually have is anything but. Regardless, we incarcerate both the greatest number and greatest percentage of any civilization in the history of man, so I ask how much is enough?

I absolutely disagree with the premise that our failed drug war has done anything to the availability of drugs. Locking these street dealers up, will not save one single life nor prevent one single person from getting high.
