When did it become okay to be more offended by what someone with no power says than by what someone with power does?

Criticism of Michelle Wolf has revealed how much people, including some journalists, have normalized Trump's abhorrent behavior. Wolf spoke of Sanders burning facts (she does) & using the ash to beautify herself w/the "perfect smoky eye", that does not criticize her appearance.

As was the analogy with Aunt Lydia...which many also neither understood nor bothered to learn about...

I thought the aunt Lydia comparison was referring to her demeanor, not her appearance. You know SHS would love to use a cattle prod on Jim Acosta or April Ryan every time they ask a hard question

Absolutely, Lindsay. Never once a disparagement of her appearance, rather her demeanor and lies.

I was disappointed to see talking heads at different times thru the day continue the notion that this was about her looks - both lines were funny; too bad they perpetuated the negative notion about looks.

Agreed. I had to watch again just to see if I missed a joke about her appearance. Nope, nothing.

Yes! I did the same earlier today - I even revisited the smokey eye line - thought maybe I'd misheard- instead of 'burning facts' it was 'burning fat' - but nothing. Too confounding that we must accept a pathological liar who does NOTHING BUT disparage others..

Reminds me of video I saw recently when a man beat up some young guy for burning the US flag. He was offended and felt righteous enough that he thought it was okay to illegally assault someone for doing something that isn’t illegal.

Texas v. Johnson, 491 U.S. 397 (1989), was a decision by the Supreme Court of the United States that invalidated prohibitions on desecrating the American flag enforced in 48 of the 50 states.
