If the #Olympics were a bit geekier, they would measure aerial acrobatics in Radians. Every half-rotation is Pi Radians, making it easier to track and say how many rotations were executed. You're just counting Pi’s.

To be fair, you'll still get fractions with Pi on slopestyle events where they do 3/2s and 5/2s to get on and off rails sideways. Guess that just goes to show that no irrational number is perfect.
-
Wouldn't 3/2s just be 6 pis?
-
I meant 3/2 Pis :p but 3/2 rotations would be 3 Pis

Well colour me embarrassed!

This whole thread makes my geek heart grow 3.14 sizes!pic.twitter.com/GFDDUgUJmy

If it were geekier, it'd have grown 6.28 sizes.

Nothing I hate worse than needless fractions.

Well, why not judge by integer radians instead? 1 radian rotation! Easy to do full rotation, hard to stop it at integer radians :D

With Tau, you’ll get fractions when they do fractions of a rotation, which seems sensible to me.

All rotations are whole numbers now in degrees.
