...and a lot of them would watch the progress bar instead of listening to the music. Two sides to every coin.
-
1. That’s not necessarily a bad thing 2. You can look at the bar and still listen to the music at the same time
-
nah fuck that, its supposed to be boring so that u fall asleep and have suuuuuuuper epic dreams!
-
I don’t think it’s boring by any means, but I love to read during classical music concerts. And also sleeping yes because ugh
-
no that was def a joke, its not boring! it has pleasant frequencies i really like driving or studying or sleeping to classical
-
Same! Helps me focus

-
"Classical" is a pretty broad brush. Try sleeping (or multitasking) to George Crumb's "Black Angels," for instance.

I think classical music concerts should also have some mosh pits and stage diving. The whole thing needs more audience participation imo.

I'm probably one of the few orchestral musicians who like random applause - if the jazz guitarist gets applause after a sweet solo, why can't the oboe player get a little love after a killer riff?
-
I, too, am an orchestral musician who doesn't mind random applause. Just means the audience is into it!
