I vote we take 90% of the war budget, give 2/3s toward universal healthcare and the other 1/3 toward nasa.

Pretty sure 2/3rds of the usa military budget is way way more than health care in the us would cost. us military budget is... stupidly huge.

Healthcare is 1/6th of our economy altogether, war department is likely 1 trillion a year(some hidden), our gdp is around 17 trillion, so no

Just did some research, and yeah you're right. however i'd prob prioritise education at same level as healthcare. Should be free.

Free college would be about 60 billion a year, nothing at all, less than what they increased the war budget by just this year.

What does that translate to in absolute dollars adjusted for inflation? The budget is a lot larger than it used to be.

1969 NASA would get $28.9b of a $5.895t budget. Today NASA gets $19.2b of a $3.999t budget (Very rough inflation increase of ~6.8x)

I think you may have GDP there instead of the total outlays. I believe the budget for 1969 was closer to 867b adjusted
