The entire half-century budget of NASA equals the current two year budget of the US military.

The U.S. should not have to shoulder the burden of getting humans to Mars,it should be a effort for all the developed World. Why not?

Don't sensationalize by changing terms. 5-year NASA = 2-year US Military budget. (Army,Navy,Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard).

18k employed by Nasa. 3 MILLION by the military. Seems Nasa gets the better budget. But that doesn't matter, right?

Biggest chunk of the military budget goes to pay and benefits. The cost of having an all volunteer force so snowflakes don't have to serve

Solution? Bring back the draft. So everyone has skin in the game. Pay draftees a pittance with little benefits.

Going out into space isn't a Constitutional mandate like the mililtary is. Therefore spending/expenditures are going to be different.

NASA doesn't sees the moon and no budget exists if the military didn't provide the rockets necessary for space travel.
