        NASA didn't switch to Metric until ~1990. They even continued using both for a while after. (Remember the Mars probe we lost in '99)

        Similar to what caused the Mars probe to be lost (they forgot to convert then). Pre 1990 mostly Imperial some metric, post 1990 vice versa
