Bad generalization. In my 17 yrs of teaching, I've NEVER met a teacher that believed or taught that the Earth is flat.

It’s not what’s taught in school that matters here. It’s how your brain is wired for analysis by the time you graduate.
-
With all due respect, what exactly does that mean?
-
It's being taught how to analyse & understand new information outside the classroom environment, rather than memorising facts
-
1. So, because our kids learn facts in school -- for instance, Earth is round -- they grow up to believe Earth is flat? I get critiques
-
The issue is that when they hear that the Earth's flat & it's all a conspiracy, they won't weigh it against the evidence properly
-
Ideally, they should discard the idea because there's masses of evidence against it, but if they've just memorised facts they might not

More lies from paid actor neil Tyson.
his time is coming to an end. The people are waking up. -
Come on bro how can you hate on Neil. Also how can you really believe the earth is flat??
-
Tyson is a faithless conman. Also imagine still believing earth is round in 2017
. You have access to YouTube. Educate yourself. -
Please go to the edge and post photos.
-
Oh yeah that's true there should be an edge right! Where are the pics!
-
Obviously there is no edge. The earth is a procedurally generated simulation. Try to keep up

And also the rise of a class that recognizes expertise as a threat, especially when it challenges their beliefs.
-
It gets worse with the new state bills allowing teachers to picture science on evolution, climate change, etc as controversial topics
-
My state Clarissa. I'm waiting to see what gets challenged first-- what do you think? Climate or evolution?
-
