How did he know the sticks 800 km apart were casting different shadows at the exact same time? And how did he calculate the 7° angle?

Because the 21st June exists in every year? The same stick used at 2 locations cast different shadow lengths. Triangulation gives you 7°.

Not so far from Sienne they found millions of mummified cats (the british even used them as fuel for locomotives). Checks with ur theory.
