There is a swarm of scientists that can communicate well, @neiltyson - we've been here all along!

That's great! I think you'll find there are lots more on Twitter that are eager to lend a hand, should you be looking for more experts :)
-
And it would be great to see more scientists on your new show, too! What a great platform for elevating other science communicators!

And if you're getting 200+ requests/mo for appearances, why not point some of them towards the 50+ other scientists featured on your show?
-
Why not let a Black scientist live and have his goddamn moment?
-
We *all* get too many speaking requests. Because there aren't enough Black scientists.
-
Try solving that problem and leave Black scientists alone?
-
Solve the problem of too many speaking invites? That was the point - a list (mostly of WOC, POC, and
#WomenInStem) to direct the overflow to -
Do you think that people invite him and he says no and then those invites don't go to anyone else? Have you ever organized an event?
-
I'm not sure what you find so offensive. He said he wishes there were more popular scis to shoulder the burden of comm - I pointed some out.
-
The hope would be that when he says no, he can say "no, but have our heard of
@DNLee5" or "no, but in et@DrRubidium would be great" - 20 more replies

Precisely! StarTalk is one positive push. Let's make others happen also!
-
Wait. But
@neiltyson...this is how you described Star Talk in that same article:pic.twitter.com/fgkIBXzOHu
-
So here's
@neiltyson telling us that he uses Star Talk to promote good SciComm...but there's@neiltyson telling us he doesn't do that. -
Did you even look up startalk and listen to the shows or are you just judging based on what NDT said in an interview?
-
I am judging based on NdGT's description of his own work. ...and as I said, I don't listen to his show.
-
Well, if you did you'd know NDT is interviewing non scientists about their relationship with science, AND has shows with other scientists.
-
He also has a show where he isn't even present, but other scientists are presenting with other co-hosts.
-
Straight up,
@StarTalkRadio is amazing and I hated every tweet where people proclaimed, Neil or Bill weren't giving other scientists a voice - 22 more replies

Why not let your StarTalk-AllStars pick up the baton n amplify the voice of science to reach people in corners you don't have time to visit?
