When we cure all disease & stop aging, the leading cause of death will be Car Accidents, unless we develop Self-driving Cars.

I don't trust those. Technology malfunctions too much for me to ever want a self-driving car.

Self driving cars are already much better than human drivers. I think people don't realize how unsafe roads are with humans.

I definitely do! I didn't drive until I was 18 because of human drivers lol. But malfunctioning technology is a dangerous possibility.

Just wanted to let you know that when you flight 90% of the time plane is controlled by a computer... nowadays even the landing.

I am aware of this, thank you, but the pilot still has a way to control the plane if needed

And yet, we shouldn't let the joy of driving (and the necessary skills to do so) vanish away.

Sure we should. There is no logical reason for a human to control a vehicle when we are so bad at it. Let technology do what it's good at.

There's no reason for not being good at it, apart from laziness. Humans should know how to operate vehicles anyway.

Humans aren't designed to pay attention to all the things you need to traveling at 60-70MPH. Just too much data input. Computers can do it.

According to your statement, racecar drivers don't exist. Granted, some humans can't do that: the future autonomous car owners. And it's ok.

Racecar drivers drive under fairly controlled circumstances. All traffic going one direction all at about the same speed. Not a good example

Still more controlled than driving city streets/highways with 1000s of other vehicles. Computers can far better analyze and adjust faster.
