I don’t invest that kind of emotion in what people say. In any case, I’m back on his show in 3 weeks. We'll duke it out then.

Dr.Tyson has a way of educating/communicating that is second to none. I can listen to him explain why grass grows and be intrested.

That's water vapor. Liquid fuel rockets are propelled by burning hydrogen and oxygen, which produces water. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liquid-propellant_rocket#Cryogenic …

No, he made an excellent point. Our romanticising over Mars is based on curiosity that overshadows our need to get real about saving Earth.

Then you failed to understand his point. What he's saying is, Mars will come, but not today. Promises of dramatic changes are dangerous.

💜 @billmaher & understand his frustration. NASA wants to help Earth AND make sci discoveries on Mars (& beyond). It's not one or the other.

In a world of limited resources, it's best to use them on our survival. Mars expeditions do not help us in that regard.

There's a lot that can be learned from space & trying to send humans to it, that directly helps Earth. Read thishttps://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/station/research/benefits/ …

The ISS is perfectly reasonable and helps us understand earth. Different from a Mars expedition.
