Facts? one man's facts are another man's opinions
-
A fact has been proven. An opinion may or may not be, and if it has been proven, it will match it's fact.
-
scientific history is replete with "facts" that were later proved to be false.
-
that followed the scientific method and was based on empirical evidence? There have been a handful of those.
-
for that reason we should encourage questioning "facts" because great advancements are found in their undoing

@neiltyson Facts don't belong to anyone. They are what makes reality whether one owns them or not.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Where's the boundary? Facts can be subjective too (depending on definition of the word).
-
facts are only subjective to deniers.
-
and "denier" is a slur applied by the smug to a dissenter. Many have later been shown to be correct.
-
one that denies facts is a denier. It's not a slur.
-
one that claims absolute facts is close-minded. Science is built upon those who withstood the jeers to question established truths
-
except there's zero truth to religion and zero subjectivity to science. New evidence rarely contradicts scientific fact.
-
again, "rarely" isn't "never." In those rare discoveries lies greatness. We should encourage that pursuit.
-
we should.....but the original comment was one that science deniers often use in order to stay safe in the religious bubble
