Until someone proves it wrong and that hypothesis becomes the new science

What about things science just can’t prove so they hypothesize and get miss treated as a fact. I strongly believe in science but at that point how can people differentiate between a hypothesis and a scientific fact.
-
Science literacy is the answer. A hunch is different than a hypothesis than a theory than a fact. Theories are not law and are subject to new knowledge but (are supposed to,) represent the broad consensus of work in agreeance. There are resources online to learn.

Another good thing about Science is that it holds itself to be fallible. If a new theory of something emerges, and explains all existing data, and also some anomalies, the previous theory has to be rejected. This implies that Scientists ought to be humble rather than cocksure.
