        300 moons? I would normally assume that meant 300 nights. In what context are you using “moons” here @neiltyson ? I’m assuming it’s something astronomical that I’ve never learned.

        Perhaps 28 days? Don't forget the leap years when you calculate the days in the last 17 years. Hint: 2000 wasn't a leap year, 2004 was. And remember that none of these numbers is exact.

        FYI: 2000 was indeed a leap year. A rare one at that. 3 out of 4 century years (all evenly divisible by 4) are not leap years, by Gregorian rules.

        i would never be so bold as to daubt neil degrasse tysons math. but im confused. im assuming by "moons" you mean months. 2001 was 17 years ago. 17 * 12 = 204...? what am i missing? 😅

        It's a strange date today because in my country this day began a military dictatorship. And now another tragedy is "celebrating" its anniversary this day. So much death and stupidity that has happened on this day.
