Fascinating that Meta and Google have been keeping their AIs locked in the basement moderating content. OpenAI set it free. Now millions are coming up cool use cases daily.

To be clear: I'm not criticizing OpenAI's work nor their claims. I'm trying to correct a *perception* by the public & the media who see chatGPT as this incredibly new, innovative, & unique technological breakthrough that is far ahead of everyone else. It's just not.

Things that would immediately improve web3 gaming: • Sell gameplay, not tokens • More creator-lead tournaments • Stop using Defi as a marketing strategy • Gameplay marketing on Tiktok/IG Reels • Build games for casual gamers, not investors

I think the question is slightly more nuanced. The computer is only acting on behalf of the human asking it to create something. So back to square one. If Warhol can fair use soup cans. Could Warhol using software do the same? If not, why not?

I think that’s what they are trying to define. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Warhol last year, making a statement in large support of broad fair use. But does that include a software? Transformation is based on intention…the AI artist might have that, but does a software co

AI techniques are going to get blended into all kinds of creative work flows. In this case, photo perfect 3D models are created from a regular video camera and a simple walk around.

Exciting! AI can lip read. Imagine the possibilities for the hearing impaired, especially those with recent impairment, if we can speed this up to real time processing.

People have said chatGPT is the death of homework. But might also be the birth of a new way to teach.

This will change education forever: 1. Copy a lesson and paste it on ChatGPT. 2. Ask it to formulate questions about the lesson. 3. Answer the questions and ask ChatGPT to evaluate your answer. Look at this conversation:

Paid $10 transaction fee for a free piece of art today. Can you imagine what the net would look like if you had to pay $10 to send an email or transfer a file? Ethereum is a decentralized miracle but it’s Gucci prices for things that are cheap or free everywhere else.

We’re having an important debate in AI art about whether it’s good, evil or both. But I wonder what young artists will create who grow up in a world where this is as standard as a paint brush.
Really thoughtful concept. Can’t wait to see the art.

Interesting point I hadn’t considered. Some collectors view unaltered AI art as pure. Frankly it’s an odd idea to me since I think the artistry comes from making something truly original which often involves multiple AI tools, many prompts, custom training models etc.

An interesting point arose during the Space: while most ai artists I know use post-edits in part because of the fear that people might value their art less if it were raw ai art, collectors seem to believe on the contrary that raw ai art is actually way more valuable.

Just subscribed to via Twitter subscriptions. Honestly have no idea what I’m going to get for my $3 (Rob you better deliver me 300 cents worth of amazing content) but interested to see how creator subs work on Twitter. Could be a powerful feature.

Ethereum has miles to go before mainstream. For the second day in a row, I paid $20 in gas for a $130 purchase. That’s a 15% transaction fee. I know we think banks twiddle their evil mustaches all day but they would love to be able to charge those rates.

This is ridiculously good and still early. Imagine this 12 or 24 months from now.

There is such a startling difference in public understanding between web3 and AI. Blockchain takes a 30 minute conversation and still leaves people confused. AI is instantly understood magic.
