One should assume if it's a smart home device, there's a high likelihood that it contains a microphone. I suppose we are moving to the point where we need to rank companies based on their likelihood of disclosing what is actually found in their smart home devices. Pretty sad.

I had concerns about NEST just for it's connection to the internet. Just one more reason to not have it. Also won't have Google assistant or any of its ilk in my house. My life isn't a commodity to be bought and sold.
