BLM protestors were largely peaceful but were met with brute force. These terrorists are trying to overtake the capitol, forcing a lockdown, yet there's not a rubber bullet or drop of tear gas in sight so far. This country is racist. On a systemic, structural level it is racist.
A lot of the people there today were probably first incited by Tr*mp's racist rhetoric against Obama 12 years ago. They're carrying confederate flags. They're racists. And so are the police, who inherently deal with protestors differently depending on the color of their skin.
This is an awful reminder that all of these people don't just go poof and disappear when Biden takes office. This is Tr*mp's legacy, this is our nation's legacy, and it's one we have to deal with head on or this is going to get worse. I just don't know how.
