  4. Sometimes when I’m in a doctor’s office or a hospital setting, the thought would enter my mind: “What if I stayed on this path?” I took a huge risk, and to this day I’m not sure how someone who’s afraid of heights could leap, knowing none of my overpriced degrees would catch me.

In bed when I heard a knock, and like a real country woman I answer "Is it me?". No it wasn't a duppy, thankfully, it was the building's security saying he forgot to hand me my mail earlier. Guess what was in the package!? My advanced reader copy of 's Patsy! ☺️

To post a pic picturing a 3-day old baby of mixed heritage as a monkey, then claim it was a joke? That’s old-school prejudice and racism at its peak. And for a trusted broadcaster working at a public service broadcaster to feed that prejudice? It’s unacceptable.

PATSY= a lyrical narrative that touches on issues of race, wealth, societal expectations, sexual norms, & more. A heartbreaking tale of undocumented immigrant experience told in bold, unrelenting strokes. Truly not to be missed.

  16. This is so heartbreaking. I also heard the mother’s side of the story and I’m just saddened by how this family’s story is being played out in the media. Someone please help them.
