    One family with a 2 y/o son received about $13,400 from STAY DC to cover rent after both parents lost their jobs. The check was cashed, but building managers say they never got it -- so STAY DC issued another $13,400 check that also allegedly went missing.

  10. Metro still hasn't figured out the root cause of the wheel issue on its 7000-series trains, but it's proposing a new sensor system that would monitor wheel spacing to bring them back online. That system has never been used in quite this way, and WMSC says it will need scrutiny.
