GOP failed most obviously in nominating trump. Comey intervention was very bad. Media treatment of emails, Trump very bad.

He never really had a chance though, wasn't v popular (also has a more moderate reputation deserved during campaign if I remember correctly)

yep. he didn't have a chance...but he stayed in and split vote so Rubio couldn't win either.
