I'm sort of surprised because I'd think Matt would be pretty clear on the fact that you need structural change rather than (ahem) reifying neoliberal choice as environmental policy.

My building is from 1875. You can’t run the microwave at the same time as any major appliance. Ditto for the vacuum, or the electric kettle. Unless the super is gonna upgrade the electric for the whole building - leave the gas stove where it is- I don’t have the amps for electric

I do hope it becomes common knowledge that gas stoves are a source of indoor pollution, though https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2020/may/05/gas-stoves-air-pollution-environment … That would certainly convince some folks to switch But yeah most don't have a choice to begin with, we need regulations
