I'd imagine the times asked itself 1. was there real risk to Alexander? 2. was the risk because of a reasonable public right to know? that is, is it unfair to tell Alexander's patients/professional contacts about this big public thing he does?

Also there's the matter of accountability. A lot of the Free Speech crowd seems to get really nervous about the idea of being held accountable for views - and actions base don them - that are genuinely harmful.

This tendency seems especially rife among the people who consider themselves "rational" along the lines of Spock. (Which is kind of interesting given that Spock the character was *all about* accountability in so many ways).
