Romney is pretty horrible on most things, but he's been consistent for a while not just on criticizing trump but on voting to censure him.

I generally loathe the man, but that's been genuinely brave, imo. I think he does try to do the right thing, imo, he's just often wrongheaded about what that is.

Yeah but, he's been doing so as a rat leaving the sinking ship - wholly self-serving. Nearly everything he opposed about Trump was with regard to style rather than content. I definitely wouldn't concede to him the privilege of being principled.
