I’m still not exactly sure why warren couldn’t consolidate her lead. Fear that a left candidate couldn’t win maybe. Fear a woman couldn’t win? Just hard to say.

i think this is at least one factor? she tried to split the middle between "m4a without apology" and "not m4a" and then instead of being the unity candidate she got pinched between the two sides

voters have different opinions: It is entirely possible that there are a group of voters who don’t care about m4a and a group that care a lot and Warren lost many of B without gaining any A

It also make no sense unless they think that one thing prevented enough Sanders supporters leaving him for her to put his campaign into a death spiral leaving her the progressive standard bearer. Like, her doing that is the only reason Sanders isn't a distant 3rd or 4th.
