Masks help protect all of us. Muni drivers are essential workers and we will not tolerate these senseless criminal attacks. @SFDAOffice

Clearly prison is the only way to address this because mass incarceration has worked so well to diminish crime, it always has. Prison is also the most expensive way to achieve public safety and we love paying taxes.

There has been no mass incarceration in san francisco for decades. SF sends the fewest convicted criminals to state prison just behind little Alpine county.

Because the SFPD can't do their job and bring cases to the DA. When asked, the SFPD can't produce records of cases the DA has declined to prosecute. The SFPD simply does not do their job and blames successive DAs starting from Arlo Smith when I arrived here in the 1980s.

The data dashboard on the DAs website says the overall filing rate for Chesa’s office is 47%. which is a decline from previous years. The cases are coming but the DAs office is literally more likely to do nothing than to file charges in a case.

Boudin probably gave the cases greater scrutiny while the cops have been particularly lazy and sloppy.

That’s a rather unsubstantiable claim. One that shows your willingness to ignore data that doesn’t support your own biases.

We've seen the SFPD's work over the decades. They've bitched about all DAs. They will continue to bitch. Your quarrel is with San Franciscans who serve on juries, are not conservative punishy scolds and don't buy the cops snake oil.

Considering the filing rate hasn’t exceeded 55% for the last 10 years, I think the complaints are warranted. Oh and I was wrong about Chesa’s filing rate earlier... It’s 44%. I suppose it’s still better than A few of the Gascon years. An F+ is still an F though.
