If you’re a strategy nerd like me that loves Michael Porter, Clay Christensen, Hamilton Helmer, Ben Thompson (etc), then I think you’ll love Divinations. It’s a newsletter with two parts.

First, a weekly interview. I’m talking to founders, investors, execs, and even academics. The idea is to get candid stories about how to create and execute business strategies. We’re learning how to our theory into practice here.

Second, a “thing of the week” This will be a summary/review of a book, article, podcast; strategy worksheets and templates; news analysis; etc. And! I’ll keep it all organized into an evergreen library you can return to anytime you’re wrestling with a strategy question.

The weekly interview is free. The “thing of the week” is not. (Because I want to be able to devote the time to make this actually good, and not worry about finding advertisers or targeting a lowest-common-denominator audience.)

My goal is to make this work over the long term as a sort of para-academic lab. The ultimate goal is to help deepen and widen our collective understanding of strategy.
