This is a problem that a few others have had as well. My plan is to add a calibration setting in the next update. Thanks for the feedback!

Well, does it work on my iPhone 6s?

Unfortunately it is limited to devices with a TrueDepth camera system, which currently is only the iPhone X. If you can, find a friend who has an iPhone X and convince them the let you play it!
