I'd guess that if you surveyed journalists involved in reporting/ editing major political stories on who they'd vote for personally, the big winner would be Warren, although with Buttigieg, Harris & Sanders also outperforming their support in the general population.

kinda seems like the simpler and more obvious answer is just that bernie is less accomodating ot the press, who are all (myself included) a bunch of extremely sensitive babies

Yeah for sure, and I don't think the implication that the press dislikes Bernie for fairly superficial but largely *non*-ideological reasons is terribly flattering to the press, but it does make Bernie's critique less accurate.
