Getting Qs on my views about data collection & influence of tech firms. On one hand, data concentrates power. OTOH, we increasingly use that data to keep people safe. In my PhD, I argue that we need to remake large-scale behavioral research for democracy

this book has me thinking about the differences in structure, attention, and governance between subreddits, news publishers, and online groups (which are institutions) compared to creators, celebrities/politicians, and influencers online (charismatic individuals)

Year walk is fantastic. Simogo is on my list of studios where I’ll play anything they make alongside Inkle, Tale of Tales, and Failbetter.

Into the Breach is excellent, bite-size strategy. Night in the Woods is an story-driven adventure game with great plot / characters / environment.

Oh, and, because I am intensely biased, I absolutely love Russian Subway Dogs AND They Bleed Pixels. The art is magical. Bias: I consulted on TBP's "easy" mode.

To the moon. Beautiful but short. Had me crying proper tears. This war of mine is very moving, good game play and story rich.
