1/ Would love to design a study on the length of #medicine rounds. I am sure there is a trade-off between being thorough and actually progressing patient care. I predict length of stay and possibly patient outcomes could be affected the longer the rounds! #MedTwitter

Does anyone else visualize running rapid responses and Code Blues in your head as you’re walking to work? I might not be super experienced running Codes yet, but I’ve ran them in my head a hundred times! #MedTwitter #PCCM

#MedTwitter When performing the heroic effort overnight of unclogging a Dobhoff, have you had different successes with Coca Cola versus other sodas (e.g. Ginger Ale)? Asking for a friend…

This is great! But let’s be honest, all of these schools benefitted from the rankings as long as they could. Now that’s it’s cool to do so they are all backing out. Let’s make sure we praise the schools that haven’t participated for years! #MedTwitter #USNWR

Nine of the U.S. News & World Report Top 20 medical schools have announced they’ll no longer participate in their rankings. At this point, the USNWR Top 20 list tells us more about the aspirations and strategy of the institutions that are choosing to continue to participate.

Primary Care Physicians! Are you currently recommending a fourth COVID-19 vaccine (2nd booster) in young healthy adults? I have personally been hesitant and feel I don’t have a great basis of evidence to back my decisions. Would love to hear any thoughts! #MedTwitter #COVID19

This is so good. In the same way that the most important aspect of research is asking the right question, there will likely be a whole field of science/engineering around prompting AI engines in the right way to maximize and optimize the output. #MedTwitter #ChatGPT

I asked ChatGPT to write a poem about the life of an ID Fellow. I gave it some information about a typical ID doc workday and asked it to make it witty and funny. I asked it to communicate enthusiasm for the specialty and recruit more docs for ID. Here’s what it came up with:

A patient today told me that his wife passed away a few years ago. He bought a bench dedicated to her and each day he drives to the town and sits on the bench, keeping his wife company. 🥹 #MedTwitter

Reading this 🧵 while I’m cooking dinner on my gas stove 🫠

Researchers just found that gas stoves are responsible for 12.7% of childhood asthma cases. Recently I read dozens of studies about gas stoves and indoor air quality. I also installed monitors in our home and ran my own tests. Here's what I learned.

Really hoping Damar Hamlin is okay. Incredibly scary to hear of a player receiving CPR on the field during the game. Everyone can be a part of #BillsMafia tonight.

If you have heart failure and diabetes and eat too much salt on Christmas, can you balance this out by eating more cookies (and increasing your osmotic diuresis)? All I’m saying is I’ve never seen someone admitted with both DKA and acute heart failure 😌🎄 #MedTwitter

And if your loved one has a precaution (including COVID) you should be able to grab an N-95 or gown sitting right next to the door (just like we do everyday) and visit them.

As this war begins between Trump and DeSantis, I think one thing is clear. Democrats should spend less time obsessing over this and more time finding a strong, winning candidate for 2024. Momentum will be essential and there’s no time to waste. #2024Election

You can't easily transfer a cult. Trump will eat into DeSantis, who is a wet noodle despite having the backing of the entire right-wing ecosystem, and the GOP. It's a civil war and let them fight and weaken each other. They deserve it.
