Very much intrigued by the idea, discussed by and at 1:08:33 in this episode, of algorithm markets like the App Store.
Example: I subscribe to a algorithm covering my family’s social media & it promotes educational content

There are hundreds of signals going into these algorithms. Going beyond most peoples skills or interest to configure. Possibly similar to cookie pop ups where vast majority of people just click accept because they don’t have time or will to configure.

True. I understood the idea to mean that you'd pay to have a trusted third party essentially do the configuration, precisely because most people can't or don't do that individually. People hack ways to avoid the social media algos, so there is probably interest.
