    the lesson of the last 10 years on the filibuster is that refusing to abolish it to do good policy only means that in the future the opposition will abolish it to do bad policy, which they'll do anyway only now nothing good will have happened first

    Restaurant, club, and bar workers!! I highly recommend getting an additional one and adding it to the first aid kit at your workplace I once was on shift and we thought someone had OD'ed in the bathroom and I realised that we //needed// some on hand 24/7

  15. the COVID-19 memorial segment yesterday worked well. For all his faults, Biden has always connected with people through grief. Closing in on a year of such profound loss, it's striking there had never been a large public mourning until yesterday. I think that stuff matters

    My insulin fell out of the fridge and my kid put it back in the freezer by mistake and thereby destroyed and insurance won't replace it so that's $800 which luckily I have because if I didn’t I'd simply die, which is what happened to one of my students. So time to get to work.
