With more than 1,200 covid cases, Trousdale Turner in Tennessee is the third-largest prison outbreak in the nation, based on NYT's current data of prison cases. It is operated by private prison corporation CoreCivic.https://www.tennessean.com/story/news/politics/2020/05/01/tennessee-testing-all-inmates-prison-staff-after-multiple-outbreaks/3067388001/ …

Of 1,300 inmates who tested positive for covid at Trousdale Turner prison, just 2 showed symptoms, CoreCivic says. Tennessee's health commissioner calls the incredibly high asymptomatic rate "a real headscratcher."https://www.tennessean.com/story/news/politics/2020/05/01/tennessee-testing-all-inmates-prison-staff-after-multiple-outbreaks/3067388001/ …

It is both stunning and revealing. 98% without symptoms? What was the point of testing?

John, I’m interested to know what you make of NYC’s death toll being 6 times higher than the average, for this time of year? That suggests if you opened it, it’d soon become a ghost town.
