Capital succeeds because it runs on critique. It produces dissent, and dissent therewith produces more capital. A final stage capitalist society would be entirely leftist & organized around a continual critique of capital.

Capitalism's driving force is inner contradiction, productive self-negation. 99% of all cultural material produced by capitalism is a critique of capital. Communist art is a critique of systems opposite to itself while capitalism critiques itself and gains plus-value therewithal.

Yes, clearly the movie synthesizes both leftist and right-wing dissent. There is a fascist tone to Thanos' discourse, but also a very leftist one. The danger is simply the control of flows, and both right & left fight for this control the forces of capital can't allow to happen.

Think about it: save for the dregs of neoconservatives, no one, and I mean absolutely NO ONE defends capitalism as something good. You'll hear people saying it doesn't kill people, enslave mankind to a higher ideal, promote violence or whatever, but those are negative qualities.

Americans read it as an indictment of a racist America, outside observers tended to read it as an indictment of american culture at large.
