Normative monogamy is not necessary as long as symbolic space can be occupied by the incel. The sexually free Middle Ages and Early Modern Europe offered him a way out, monasteries.

"Sexually free Middle ages" LUL Sexual freedom as we know it today cannot exist without technology (antibiotics, birth control, abortion). In a society living much closer to subsistence, nature enforces sexual morality... very harshly.
