Can everyone agree that the obvious Chesterton Fence here is that normative monogamy was the alternative to Incel cataclysm? ...
Really ignorant of history. Should read some actual literature from the era, try to go beyond internet larping.

"Showing a nipple in artwork is the same thing as racking up 20 bodies by sophomore year" Yeah, nah. Biologically impossible without massive bastard birthrates and sexually transmitted disease infection, both of which we have (some) historical data on.
-
Those who criticize the "sexual liberation" do so out of ignorance of the past. The sexual mores reactionaries advocate actually date from the mid 19th and represent petit bourgeois values which are opposite to that of the western tradition. Yeah, I'm sure everyone went topless in 1600. Again, in the face of a common-sense argument, you respond with a painting. You're dreaming. Without modern technology, "free sex" leads to incurable diseases and fatherless children with impoverished mothers. We have data on both.

This is so key. Before there was skin in the game for the woman and her father - if she got pregnant or diseases out of wedlock they bore the costs.
-
Today women demand the right to do whatever they want (liberation) but also the right to be treated as unaccountable (child support, the welfare state) and without agency (MeToo).
-
Men too, but men are held accountable - the ones with money pay for the sexual license taken by those without any (you can’t get child support from a deadbeat but you can tax all the good fathers and give the money to the deadbeat’s baby mommas)
-
Great point - not only are we held accountable for our own actions, we're held accountable for the actions of ALL men. Women aren't accountable for anyone, including themselves.
